VIETRI is a lifestyle and home decor brand founded in 1983 after a family trip to Italy. Over four decades, the brand has grown into a leading importer of Italian handmade tableware, glassware, and home accents. Known for its artisan craftsmanship and curated collections, VIETRI serves both direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels, with deep roots in brick-and-mortar retail partnerships across the U.S.

The Challenge

VIETRI's existing eCommerce platform was outdated, difficult to manage, and lacked the modern functionality needed to support online growth. With a small internal team and a limited budget, the brand needed a solution that could be implemented quickly and cost-effectively while integrating with its existing SAP backend.

The challenge was compounded by a shift in the retail landscape during COVID-19. As in-store traffic slowed, VIETRI needed to accelerate its digital presence and build a direct path to customers online. The brand also needed stronger digital customer acquisition. Internally managed Google Ads and Facebook Ads campaigns were delivering limited results, and VIETRI lacked the strategic depth to scale paid media profitably.

VIETRI needed a modern commerce foundation paired with a performance marketing engine that could drive new customer acquisition while meeting profitability targets.

The Solution

Zaelab partnered with VIETRI to replatform to Shopify, working closely with the internal team to co-build the site and reduce costs. A customized prebuilt theme accelerated delivery while preserving the brand's refined aesthetic.

With the commerce foundation in place, Zaelab turned its focus to growth. Acting as a strategic and tactical extension of VIETRI's marketing team, Zaelab executed a multi-channel digital marketing strategy across Google, Meta, Pinterest, and Microsoft Advertising. The approach combined customer segmentation, email and SMS automation, and creative services to rapidly test, iterate, and scale online revenue.

Zaelab also partnered with Feedonomics to solve a persistent product feed challenge. VIETRI's evolving product catalog made it difficult to categorize items accurately for Google Shopping campaigns. Through automation powered by FeedAI, the manual process of managing feeds was replaced with a scalable system that freed up resources for strategic work.
