ALP Visual Configurator

To address this challenge, Zaelab developed a state-of-the-art Visual Configurator, built on a headless architecture combining BigCommerce, Next.js, and custom APIs, with hosting powered by Vercel. The Visual Configurator is a fully customized tool that:

  • Enables users to explore and customize various vehicle kit options.
  • Promotes upsells and cross-sells through a dynamic, interactive interface.
  • Reflects AirLift’s commitment to creativity and innovation, setting a new standard in digital automotive experiences.

Custom-Built Vehicle Search Bar

The Mini Vehicle Search and the Main Vehicle Search were introduced to ensure the visitor’s get the correct parts for their specific vehicle. While the Air Lift team did the original implementation of the fitment functionality, Trellis built a slick UX for the fitment data and explored ways to best present the Vehicle Search across the site, so that customers could easily find what they need.

Within this modern stack, Contentful powers the structured content layer. As a headless CMS, it separates content from presentation, allowing teams to manage product descriptions, fitment guides, installation videos, warranties, rebates, and educational resources independently of frontend development. Integrated into the broader architecture, Contentful supports centralized content modeling while enabling dynamic delivery across the site.

Its multi-channel capabilities align with Air Lift’s composable strategy, reinforcing a modular foundation that can evolve alongside the business. Custom APIs further extend the ecosystem, supporting real-time updates and 3D visualization integrations without disrupting core commerce functionality.
