Oakmont Country Club, June 11–12, 2025
Hosted during the 125th U.S. Open, TeeCommerce 2025 brought together a select group of enterprise executives, strategists, and innovators to connect, reflect, and drive transformation down the fairway. Picture this: front-row views of Oakmont’s iconic 8th green, craft cocktails in hand, a room full of power players, and the kind of conversations that move business forward. Brought to life by Zaelab and Shopify.

With attendees from enterprises including Gowan Seed, Fairbank Equipment, BD, US LBM, Yeti, and Pella, the event was designed to facilitate high-level conversations about enterprise modernization, the impact of macroeconomic pressures, and technologies like Shopify that are shaping what comes next.
Cut the Clutter, Stay the Course
Every moment of TeeCommerce was intentional. Rather than panels and pitches, the experience prioritized time and space for connection. From start to finish, every element worked quietly in service of something bigger.

The agenda centered on informal, yet intentional, engagement:
- Breakfast conversations and shared meals to build trust
- Private suite access during the U.S. Open for organic networking
- Dinner that facilitated idea exchange among leaders

With no formal speakers or breakouts, attendees had the flexibility to follow the discussions that mattered most to them.
Big Swings in the Boardroom
Global supply chain uncertainty. AI tools that actually move the needle. Discussions at TeeCommerce teed up the kinds of conversations that don’t happen when you’re buried in backlog and meetings.
Bryan Dodds of Gowan Seed noted how refreshing it was to take a step back from day-to-day operations and evaluate priorities in a focused setting.

The value of shared context came through in conversations where attendees discovered overlapping priorities, whether around operational efficiency, platform consolidation, or modern buyer experiences. Those moments led to organic introductions and follow-ups that are now continuing beyond the event.

Recurring themes included:
- Tariffs and volatility reshaping cost structures
- Legacy systems slowing transformation momentum
- The ongoing shift toward buyer self-service in B2B
- Demand for clean, centralized product and pricing data
These chats went beyond theory; they were grounded in the realities of leading large, complex organizations through change. And because of the format, participants had space to unpack these challenges without distraction.
Several manufacturers spoke to the rising internal pressure to modernize ordering channels without disrupting core ERP systems. The Shopify team shared how enterprise teams are addressing that by leveraging prebuilt solutions like Portul to support complex catalogs, pricing, and account structures without requiring total replatforming.
“TeeCommerce gave us a chance to talk honestly about what’s working and what’s holding us back. Having time to compare notes with like-minded peers was huge.”
— Executive attendee, enterprise building materials company

Turning Conversations Into Action
Great events aren’t about scale. They’re about substance.

TeeCommerce attendees walked away with:
- Space to think beyond the next quarter
- Exposure to how others are solving similar challenges
- New contacts across enterprise organizations and partners
- A fresh perspective on how collaboration can accelerate transformation
This is the kind of foundation that future work is built on.
What Comes Next
TeeCommerce wasn’t just a moment — it was a mindset shift. The conversations that started in Pittsburgh are continuing: peers connecting, ideas evolving.

Zaelab is committed to creating spaces where B2B leaders can come together and network with the goal of helping clients and partners modernize how they sell, serve, and operate.
